Serrano Chili Peppers

Winter's chill is knocking at your door, but inside it's all sweet heat—with chili peppers on the menu.

What: Serrano chili peppers

When: August - November

How: Remove the seeds and mince until you have a tablespoon of pepper. (Hint: Wash hands immediately after.) Then mix with a cup of crème fraîche and put a dollop on your potato leek soup or fresh fish tacos.

Why: You're already hot. Your food needs some help.
